Photography can be used for personal growth and self-awareness. Photography as therapy includes the process of creating new photographs and analysing archives with the aim of getting to know ourselves better and expressing existing feelings associated with the photographs.
It's a beautiful balance of art and wellbeing. To feel is art, and photography being a visual art is currently the most accessible art form in todays age. Being able to guide what we all know in the path of personal growth is what therapeutic photography does.
We live in a visual age, we consume a lot of visual data and to use these photographs and also create new photographs for self-growth is our aim.
